Aujourd’hui, Intel Introduit la dixième génération de processeurs Intel Core S pour ordinateurs de bureau, y compris le Core i9-10900K, qui serait le processeur le plus rapide du monde pour les jeux vidéo : 10 cœurs, 20 fils d’exécution simultanée, 5,3 GHz et compatibilité avec la mémoire DDR4-2933.
On pourrait en attendre jusqu’à 187 images par seconde (ips) tout en diffusant et en enregistrant, et jusqu’à 63 % d’ips en plus en jeu qu’un ordinateur de trois ans ; jusqu’à 12 % de rapidité en plus pour le montage vidéo comparé à la génération précédente, et jusqu’à 15 % en plus comparé à un ordinateur de trois ans ; jusqu’à 31 % de performance système que sur un ordinateur de trois ans.
Les principales fonctionnalités et capacités des processeurs de Intel Core S de 10e génération, qui seront disponibles en mai, sont :
– Intel Thermal Velocity Boost : accélération automatique et opportuniste des charges de travail sur un cœur ou plusieurs cœurs, jusqu’à 5,3 GHz ;
– Hyperthreading sur tous les processeurs des gammes i3 à i9 ;
– Intel Ethernet Connection i225 : 2,5 Gbps Ethernet sur des câbles Ethernet 1 Gb.
– Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 : Wi-Fi 6, jusqu’à 3 fois plus rapide que Wi-Fi 5.
Notons que si ces processeurs, nom de code Comet Lake, sont de dixième génération, ils sont toujours gravés en 14 nm (7nm pour la concurrence), et qu’il s’agit de la cinquième itération de la microarchitecture Skylake de 2015.
