Phil Spencer, chef de la division Xbox de Microsoft, a annoncé l’acquisition de Zenimax Media, la maison mère de Bethesda Softworks, et qui comprend les entreprises Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios, Arkane, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog, et Roundhouse Studios.
Microsoft va accueillir 2 300 nouveaux employés et son nombre de studios créatifs va passer de 15 à 23.
Avec cette acquisition, Microsoft s’empare de franchises telles que The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Wolfenstein, DOOM, Dishonored, Prey, Quake et Starfield, le nouveau jeu spatial épique très attendu. Elles se retrouveront dans le Xbox Game Pass.
